Realme has also entered the field of media streaming with the Realme 4K Smart TV Stick, the new device that looks like a portable USB drive but with an HDMI connection, is based on Google TV.

This Smart TV Stick is very reminiscent of Xiaomi’s Mi TV Stick launched last year. In contrast, it comes with slightly more powerful hardware that allows support for 4K resolution at a refresh rate of 60 Hz while there is also support for HDR10 +. The connection of the dongle itself is via HDMI in modern version 2.1, while the power connection is via a USB-C connection.

Apart from that, it is based on Google TV, which at least on paper, offers a higher quality and more user-friendly user interface than that of Android TV, allowing the user to define how the content coming from several sources will be displayed. In fact, with the exception of a few TVs with Google TV, there is only one dongle in the configuration that will offer a reality with this operating system – and that is Google Chromecast in the Google TV version.

Realme 4K Smart TV Stick is based on a quad-core processor with 2 GB of working memory and 8 GB of storage. It connects to the network via WiFi connectivity and also integrates Bluetooth 5.0 to work with external devices and also with the remote control included in the kit. The remote by the way also includes a microphone and a dedicated button to call the Google Assistant assistant.
