In the past year Xiaomi has significantly expanded its range of communications products and the latest in the series is the Xiaomi Router AX3000 WiFi 6 which offers dual performance compared to the popular AX1800 launched last year.

Its design remains similar and looks like a long rectangle with no external antennas as it ensures a wider reception range thanks to four internal reception amplifiers connected to four internal antennas. It is capable of operating at a maximum speed of 2,976 MHz per second when it is divided between 2.4 GHz (574 MHz per second) and 5 GHz (up to 2,402 MHz per second).

It supports a variety of devices such as WiFi-6 160Mhz to the standard of MU-MIMO 2 × 2 and ODFMA for parallel operation up to 254 devices. It runs on Qualcomm’s IPQ5000 processor with 256MB DDR3 memory and 128MB internal storage. There are also 4 gigabit network connections of which three are available for external communication and one for modem input (WAN).

Finally, the Xiaomi Router AX3000 supports Mesh networks, so you can expand your home network with more units made by Shaomi. Among other things, it can support existing models such as the AX3000 or AX6000 that we tested here with us. Apart from this, models from the Redmi series such as the recently announced Redmi AX6 or AX6s are also supported.
